Hepatitis C Virus Testing
The Missouri Hepatitis C Alliance announces that Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) antibody testing, is available free of charge at the Morgan County Health Center, 104 W. Lafayette, Versailles. Call 573-378-5438 to make an appointment.
The Hepatitis C Alliance is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 company that has been offering free testing of HCV since 2007. Last year it served over 70 health departments and tested 3,233 people with 401 clients testing positive.
Hepatitis C is the most common blood-borne disease affecting between 5 and 7 million individuals in the US. The Center for Disease Control recommends that anyone born between 1945 and 1965 should be tested at least once
